It’s simple: complete our brief online sleep assessment, select your treatment preferences, and submit your medical intake. A licensed clinician will review your file within 24 hours to determine if you are a candidate for treatment.
Once your intake has been reviewed and approved, prescriptions are often sent within minutes, making same-day treatment possible. The initial clinical review usually occurs within 2 hours on weekdays and within 12 hours on weekends, and always within 1 business day (Monday-Friday). Prescription timing may take longer if additional information or a virtual appointment is needed.
SleepScriptMD is a self-pay service and does not bill health insurance for asynchronous care or virtual visits. Medication is paid for separately at your pharmacy and may be covered by your plan. Depending on your benefits, you may also be able to submit a virtual-visit invoice for out-of-network reimbursement.
Yes. Returning patients can contact the clinical team through the Returning Patients page and select the form that matches their question or care need. Your provider may also reach out if more information is required before treatment can be finalized.
If the clinician determines that SleepScriptMD cannot safely treat you online for medical reasons, you will receive a full refund. You may be directed to in-person care, or, when appropriate, offered a virtual visit for a more detailed evaluation
Yes. If treatment is approved, your prescription can be sent directly to the local pharmacy you select. Medication cost is not included in the SleepScriptMD service fee and is paid directly to the pharmacy; insurance coverage and pharmacy pricing may vary.
Not usually. Most uncomplicated cases can be reviewed asynchronously, so no live video appointment is required. A virtual visit may be requested when your history is more complex, certain medications or health concerns are involved, or the clinician needs more information before prescribing.
You can share your treatment preferences during the intake, and your clinician will consider them. The final medication, if one is prescribed, is selected by a licensed provider based on your medical history, safety, potential interactions, and clinical appropriateness. SleepScriptMD focuses on non-addictive options and does not prescribe benzodiazepines or Z-drugs.
No long-term commitment is required. You can choose a 30-day or 90-day care option and renew only when you want continued treatment. Refills or renewals are paid for as needed, and you can cancel at any time.
